ISIL would disperse from its current holds in Syria, Iraq and parts of Afghanistan, only to resurface somewhere else. It is crucial to keep in mind that disposable cannon fodder is the least concern of a terrorist organization in a war zone. It does not suffice to cut of the head of the Hydra, you must also cauterize the wound - in this case, by burning the financial support of the group. Unfortunately, the latter largely comes from countries which the US does not want to bother.
How does anyone not realize ISIS is an israeli/cia proxy army? FFS the israeli airforce flies ground support combat missions FOR them. How are they able to call in close air support from a 'hostile' nation like israel?

A repeat of Aghanistan and the counter-terrorist operations in Iraq. Decent success at first in driving them underground with overwhelming force but you wouldn't be able to destroy the operation. Guerrila warfare, IED's, terrorism would be even more rampant than now. Then the USA would be exhausted and leave and all the terrorist groups would be able to regroup, bolstered by new recruits radicalized by the atrocities of the US army. So ultimately a loss for the US army as is common for most of their modern wars.

Right. You can't defeat an idea with guns. Wall those fuckers off, take away their tech, let woman and children out once they have been extreme vetted, in essence, make a giant desert prison. That's how you kill an idea.

Whats going to happen if we bomb the middle east for the nth time in 6 decades? Hmm. Let's see what's happened all the other times.
● Billions, if not trillions of dollars wasted
● An unstable region is thrown into even further chaos
● Guaranteed blowback within the next decade
We were just there. With the exact same mindset. The Islamic State is the direct consequence of us being there last time.
But sure. Dropping bombs on the middle east will work this time. Dey need mo money for dem military pograms. 'Murica first!
Edit: Spelled direct "dorect". Lol

We would win, easily. It's mind-fuckingly stupid, across the board. Just illustrates a lot, how full of shit our leaders are.

As mind-fuckingly stupid as Afghanistan?

Yes. What I meant was an across the board, what's going on is mind-fuckingly stupid.
The whole damn thing is a shit show.

ISIL would take cover behind the skirts of old ladies while the media propagates images of dead children until the coast is clear.
