My opinion would be to place a local police report, containing the website information and the time of access. That way if there's action taken against those who visited the website, you'll be able to prove you acted in good faith and will also have it documented.

Mailed copy of domain registration along with explanatory letter to all other addresses on same street, house vacated within a week, site gone altogether a few weeks later!

I don't think this should be encouraged. The address used to register the domain could easily be old or fake, you very well may have ruined some random innocent person's life.

If you're going to run a website with CP, you obviously wouldn't use your real residential address to register the domain, you'd use a fake one. Hate to break it to you, but you destroyed the life of an innocent person.

Do you know how easy it is to reg a domain using somebody's address data and then upload shit like that? Its a thing of 5 minutes. You probably destroyed an innocent family that had nothing to do with it. Why would a real criminal put their own address?! Think about it! Great move, idiot. Hope you can sleep at night.
