Honestly, to those people who even as recently as a few days were ago jeering and saying negative things about people like myself, it's OK. As long as they wake up, I'm not mad at them. I understand that they were under constant propaganda for years if not decades, that's OK. I'm just happy they realize that those of us who were ahead of the curve are rational people who want a better world, I'll call it even.

They won't.

I felt this way in 2006 when Mark Klein revealed that AT&T had been wiretapping the internet wholesale.

I felt this way when the TSP phone tapping was revealed by the NYT around the same time (IMO to distract from the more damaging Klein revelations) and Binney came forward.

I got that tinge of hope again when Wikileaks dumped every text message sent on 9/11, and when that inspired Manning to do his dump.

By the time Snowden showed up, I started to realize it was pointless but I still got my hopes up.

The truth is nobody gives a shit. We're already conditioned to believe in the legitimate authority of the men with guns who threaten to incarcerate us if we refuse to fund their violent misadventures. Once people accept taxation as a necessary evil all bets are off.

If you can (very indirectly and through many different stages of obfuscation) threaten to kill those who don't want to give you money where the hell do you expect the abuse to end?

tl;dr

Da komrade, let us roll over and die, like koward dog.

Fuck that. Keep waking people up. Keep fighting for your freedoms. Yeah, its goddamn infuriating that some people just won't even entertain the information you spoon feed them. Redpill someone new every day, every little bit helps. After all, that's how we got here in the first place, just the color was different.

Here's my question: if they have this much info, why not please the plebs by dropping taxes altogether? I mean, with that much info -- calls and emails of all the big traders, probably days ahead of time -- you could pump $$ out of the market to balance the budget. You wouldn't really need many wars or sanctions -- just an endless short until the opposition was impoverished. Were they just lazy?

I believe the whole "populist" thing that granted the presidential seat to a "nazi loon" and is hinting at possible democratic revolutions in Europe, no matter how hard the propaganda bombs them, kinda disproves your point.

EDIT: why the downvotes? I'm using the double quotation as literal quotes: that's how Trump is depicted in the MSM, not my opinion on him.

Yeah, some people stormed in here thinking I was referring to lizard people and Illuminati I guess... Meh. I've been warning friends and family about security and privacy issues for years and they all thought I was nuts. I don't carry a cell phone anymore, there's tape over the camera and no mic in my laptop, I don't have any social media accounts, I google myself every so often and remove as much as I can from public view, try to use cash everywhere instead of a debit card, as well as a few other things to try and fly under the radar at least as much as possible.

When I realized they can triangulate a cell phone to within about 2ft. of it's actual location over a decade ago, I went the same route.

It's not even about our government either, we've got a few global enemies or competitors who would love to take over {that yes we created}, if all these companies know where we are 24/7 all a foreign power would have to do is hack their shit and study us over the course of a few months and could plan a very effective surgical attack targeting key areas and people. Maybe they wouldn't "win" the war, but tell that to the dead Americans.....

It's like JSOC, supposedly our best and most bad-ass elite military personnel, comprised of Seals and such, Google will tell you right where they're at... Our whole military, it's facilities, bases, training grounds, all of it is already basically wide-open for the world to keep tabs on even stateside. Same with the CIA "Langley Virginia" is like a household name do to the media, we've all heard of "The Farm", the NSA and it's facilities are easily tracked down too. Hell we had an awesome bunker in White Sulfur Springs West Virginia, millions upon millions to protect our government, took 1 report to waste all that money, they had to turn it into a museum. Take our best and most bad-ass out, and a good portion of the clearly observable civilian threats, we're conquered.

Begs the question though, if all our weaknesses are wide open to the world, all our facilities, almost all our bunkers, we can't even ensure National Defense of the Political Elite, or solid continuity of government in a WWIII scenario, but we maintain National Sovereignty.....? Yeah, bullshit.

The problem is that there are no tangible consequences of the massive spying capabilities available for CIA, NSA and others. Nobody has seen their lives or anybody else's affected. So they can assess the situation.

That they can be spied doesn't mean they are being spied, no? And so far nothing has happened, no? So the tension easily dissipates. The same happens with corruption and stealing from public funds. People don't see the impact immediately in their lives and forget it.

Sad, but true. I wish it was different and people had more spine.

They don't forget it though, they internalize it and become meek knowing that they are completely dominated.

I see it more as a.... they need to have their noses rubbed in it like bad dogs. Even smacked with a roll of tin foil.

And then a stern finger wag and a Don't Do It Again.

Yesterday's conspiracy theories have a way of becoming today's facts of life. Denial-Ridicule-Acceptance

I was called a quack for years by friends and family for talking about how we would all end up with cell phones and smart tablets and that these devices would track out every move. I remember as a kid reading a book called "Mind Pool" where people couldn't even go to sleep without the chatter of what others are thinking. We're already there with the cell phones and the tablets. It's openly admitted that we're all tracked and traced constantly, even having our microphones and cameras constantly turned on. Yet, even as recently as 5 years ago, I was laughed at for putting a piece of tape over my work laptop's camera.

I remember 30 years ago I was taken to a church by my aunt where they would show us videos about how everyone will be tracked and traced, how families would fall apart and how big pharma would keep everyone constantly drugged. They talked about how the government would bribe churches with tax money. My mother didn't let me go back. They were right about everything I remember seeing in those videos but I don't even think there are churches around like that anymore.

Even a decade ago Obama was railing against illegal immigration. I knew the hispanic immigrants were just the point of the spear. Now whites ponder to these SIGs and want to be on their side, apologize to them for the actions of anyone with fair skin. Many blacks, asians, hispanics, etc think the more non whites they ship in the better. But the reality is that the mega corporations and politicians don't give a fuck about any of these groups. Yesterday it was Mexicans, today it's Muslims, tomorrow it could be Chinese and they'll take your jobs and your houses and be happy to do it. Let's not even mention the advances in AI and robotics that are here now and being implemented and taking what jobs we have. But the mantras go on and they go on for years and they're just driven by group hate and the radicalization of the youth without a thought or a care for their own future or the future of their own children. Sadly, few of us have children and fewer of us have children they actually take care of. When I was a child the idea that teachers and strangers teaching kids sex education scared people; now it's expected.

It's the same way with globalism. I remember even 15 years ago people would openly laugh at you for talking about the New World Order or a one world government. Now it's just common knowledge.

When I look around I see a lot of decadent people who are unhappy. I often see broken families and the majority of people I know, well over 50% can't even get through their day without illegal or prescription mind altering drugs. And if you see something wrong with all of this then you are the freak and the outcast.

Why are we told that we should be taxed on the very air we exhale and that we're killing the environment when the #1 cause of pollution is overpopulation? What causes overpopulation if not immigration? At least 20 years ago some of these political ideologies and parties made sense according to what they said. Their actions certainly betrayed their words but at least the ideas or the road map had something resembling logic to it. That's not the case today.

The worst thing about it all is how everything is politicized and everything political deals with race and bigotry and the rules and jargon keeps changing year after year to the point where it's hard to keep up with. That just leads people to treat one another poorly, to be unable to have conversations with one another. Empathy is replaced with self righteousness, self control with mania. The hardest part is not surviving this world; it's not going crazy in it.

The problem is to prioritize economy over wellbeing of the members of society that build it. We pushed for a society based on consumerism and soulless capitalism, and that consumes people and resources in unsustainable ways. So it is the lack of patience what is killing the environment and the people, while concentrating the power and riches in fewer and fewer hands.

There are things that the leftists say that are not far fetched. It's just that they then give it an extra spin of nonsense and happy silliness that makes it stupid. But the diagnostic of the issues of the system are correct. The system is rigged to favor corporations and exploitation and it is not working for the common people that is chewed away or just entertained with noise and tv.

Most people in western and Asian countries have the choice to move to rural areas and live simple lives as farmers.

Most westerners had cut back on the number of kids they were having. Now we have the lefists & liberals pumping these useless refugees into our countries to bring everything down.

When you say "we" unless you mean CEOs, bankers, politicians and mainstream media outlets then I can't agree with you. We were born into this world just like our parents before us and their parents before them. The culture was already created for us. MTV is probably the most apparent example of this. Genuine, grass roots culture is a rarity these days. We all do what we do because often there is no other way. You get on the ride and you hold on and then you get off when you die. You might control whether or not you scream, laugh or cry but at the end of the day, everyone in this world is on a rollercoaster. Some seats are better than others and you hope you were born into one near the front.

I can hate all of the greed and the consumerism all I want, just like a Communist who is starving in Eastern Europe can hate Communism all he wants but at the end of the day, we'll fall in line one way or the other. I could easily go get a job paying less out in the country, live in an RV or a trailer, not see my kids. My wife would leave me. I doubt I would be much of a pussy magnet being in my late 30s with no decent vehicle to drive and living in a shack in the middle of nowhere. I could go live that hobo's life or I could work hard, make sure my kids go to a good school and that my wife and I take care of each other. That requires money. Good neighborhoods and good schools require money. I need a dependable vehicle or I add another 10 hours a week on my already 60+ hour a week of work and driving to and from work. Sure, I may get a wild hair up my ass to go volunteer at a co-op until I have to put up with shit from some white guy with stinky dreads who works there. Then you start doing the math on your labor and you're better off shopping at whole foods. You want that electric car but you understand if you lose your job you may not be able to charge it where you work at next year. You don't want to constantly buy new clothes but if you don't you look like a scrub in the office. You can do small things like install some solar panels on your roof, recycle, not buy a new TV every couple of years, keep your furniture a little longer than most people, etc. but at the end of the day, you do what everyone else does because that's the only way you can do it.

It's not a lack of patience, it's the reality that the people have no real control over it at all.

But it looks like the CIA is doing what the NSA does but on steroids.

You forgot private corporations, that have 100x more capital to do it, and control over every product in your house directly.

[–] Echo59 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

Not all corporations do. However they might be getting help from governments to spy their competitors. China was doing it, and probably CIA and NSA did it too. The problem is that they may benefit the corporations in detriment of the public. And that is bad.

Figure of speech.

eat crow 1. . Fig. to display total humility, especially when shown to be wrong. Well, it looks like I was wrong, and I'm going to have to eat crow. I'll be eating crow if I'm not shown to be right. 2. Fig. to be shamed; to admit that one was wrong. When it became clear that they had arrested the wrong person, the police had to eat crow. Mary talked to Joe as if he was an uneducated idiot, till she found out he was a college professor. That made her eat crow.

Words like "tinfoil hat", "conspiracy theorist", "conspiritard" etc. are just another form of propaganda.
State organizations have probably created and pushed fake conspiracy theories (flat earth, hollow earth, chemtrails etc.) to make real conspiracy theories seem wrong.

In a post Snowden world, anyone who outright marginalizes all conspiracy theories before looking into their claims, is a sheep or a shill.
