Our government (French surrender monkey here), is elected via a popular vote, on a 2 turn basis. 1 turn is like a melee brawl between all candidate to get vote and the second turn is the finale between the remaining candidate.

The French President is the chief of army, he can declare war and peace, create laws, for the rest of his duties, I actually don't know.

The influence of the president is useful for passing law at the National Assembly.

The government is comprised of multiple branch :

Defense: Control Army budget and contract and control the gendarmerie. Work: Create laws around the workplace like the infamous El Komhri Law. Economy: Self explanatory. International affairs: Diplomacy with other country. Prime minister: Control the affairs in the country. And probably a lot of other ministry that I don't remember at the moment.

France needs a president that will declare war on the Muslim scum previous presidents allowed into the country.

It's a little like the EU where the executive is a political process.

They are a constitutional republic with a prime minister as the president of the country. They have a senior and junior cabinet for their legislature. The executive is controlled by a subset of the senior cabinet sort of like if we handed control over our entire government to the senate security council. You can guess that is horrible and you'd be right.

Their government is based off our original "Republic", although, they've let the scourge of socialism into their halls.

Not sure but im guessing 90% of it involves knocking off for a 3 hour lunch at 11pm and then never really going back to work. Like most of the french public sector.
