I foresee The_Donald getting false-flagged and taken down, and soon. They'll rationalize it by saying the alt_right crew had made their home at T_D and was promoting "nazism" or some bullshit. And they will get away with it.

T_D is on lookout right now because some jackasses have been posting shit promoting violence. I think that there is going to be a huge schism when the first antifa rioter is shot and killed in self defense. Hopefully that will wake a bunch of people up and not send us spiraling closer to civil war.

my friend is actually the one leading the charge on documenting the fake accounts pretending to be T_D users inciting violence! It's scary the scale of this operation.

This seems to be a boogeyman T_D is creating.

The ones I've seen sited as promoting violence have actually been advocating for carrying, training, or something other for purposes of self-defense, which is a reasonable suggestion, due to the increase in violence from the left.

Please, Liberals wouldn't win a civil war. I think every cop in every blue state should join the national guard, which Trump should federalize. Invest in handcuffs, shit, invest in fucking zipties, because mass arrests are coming.

Most woke redditors are already here. The sheep can stay in their hugbox at Reddit. Let's be honest, if they're still there after all the shit and censorship Reddit has pulled, then they don't deserve freedom of speech. Fuck em

I see what you mean but disagree. There's some useful tech subreddits left and cool DIY stuff that is keeping some holdouts over there. There's still plenty of people that would fit in great over here waiting for that "final straw"

Thats always the excuse I hear, 'muh niche subreddits'. The problem is that those subs still earn Reddit money. You are supporting censorship by using them. Voat is what you want it to be, you can engage with people here, have real conversations, get to know people, it's far more engaging.

If you miss a niche sub, make one here. You get to decide on what content you want, instead of being force fed product placement. Seriously, I've learnt so much more on Voat, because I've had to do it myself.

Yeah, tech subreddits filled with a bunch of cunts who think the tech ceo's are gods and hate trump. Don't know why that's worth visiting.

That won't work long term. The censors are radicalizing the sheep to violence against us and there are more of them than us. We need a covert squad to poach the best commenters and submitters and open their eyes. Plant info where they can see it, send PMs, don't let the censors shut you up.

When the Donald gets banned there will be a huge influx. Sooner or later though, Reddit is going to monetize user. They have post histories and subs so they know exactly people enjoy and they'll start selling that information on a large scale and require further information from user to gain certain benefits. Real names for being a mod, upgraded version of the site with certain privileges if you log in with your facebook, stuff like that. That's when shtf.

I think voat is almost the perfect size to be enviable. Once it passes the threshold of maybe 20% more people up voating and posting and if it keeps its integrity we will be at peak awesomeness and all the dipsticks at Reddit will want to ruin it for us.

Voat is a circlejerk at the moment. Our discussions have not been thought-provoking and civil since before the coontown ban.

I agree, if i wanted to be surrounded by numale reddit fags I'd go there. At least a trickle of people who submit content would be good though.

I think that may be a user error with accounts like mine that don't really post much. Which tbh I wouldn't even know wtf to post. Just shitpost and see what sticks? im guessing my future post history will be 90% chance of something dumb, unoriginal and technically incorrect til it becomes a modern version of Inca slaughtering the mayans to bring the sun god back. I don't know what the fuck y'all expect and y'all can be some salty motherfuckers.

If anything causes a mass exodus from Reddit, it won't be because a certain sub got banned or a certain topic got censored. It will only happen if they wreck the user experience like Digg did by changing the layout for the worse, taking away features, pissing off content creators offsite, etc.

LOL, what? I've said the same thing pretty much every time this question's been asked. How many high-profile, controversial bannings have there been in the last couple years? And how many have significantly hurt Reddit's popularity? Fact is, most people aren't even there to talk politics, so the political bullshit between the SJWs and the anti-SJWs doesn't affect their desire to use the site at all.

I'm not saying I agree with Reddit's decision-making. I believe it's one of the most incompetent major businesses in America. But it's been proven that banning controversial subreddits that they disagree with barely makes a dent in their userbase, so they're going to keep doing it.

Yeah, I don't see a digg v4 in reddit's future. They are testing a new comments page, but that's a far cry from Digg v4's issues.

I think it will be a slow replacement over a few years of all real reddit users with paid shills, robots, and clickfarm comment pasters. Reddit will slowly become another Facebook, spreading its roots ever deeper into the fabric of the internet while the real users flee to smaller communities. However in terms of numbers, real users are usually lurkers who read but don't make accounts or post, which means Reddit and Facebook will forever dominate in terms of state and corporation controlled content that appears to be natural content from regular people while sites like voat and 4chan get flooded by false flag racists and bigots that will prevent any real discussion from taking place.

I tolerated Reddit's liberal circlejerking until I saw this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/blog/comments/5r43td/an_open_letter_to_the_reddit_community/

I had already unsubscribed from several subreddits because of the mods abusing their subreddit's popularity to push their political agenda, Seeing a reddit admin do the same thing on r/announcements was the tipping point for me.

I would be interested in seeing traffic statistics for reddit and Voat to see if many others also left once this post was made. Not sure of the best way to find that out, though.
