I think it's the turning away from western religions such as Christianity that is leaving us wide open to attacks such as neoliberalism and neoconservatism and Islam. This is coming from a person who is pretty agnostic
2) The Bible says priests should be married, this is a Catholic problem.
3) This passage refers to people being attached to physical wealth, not actually being rich or poor (although people have different ideas on this)
4) Comparing God's wisdom to human wisdom is foolish, it isn't talking of knowledge, science etc
5) It does, but consentual not forced, non issue.
6) We are all sinners.
Christianity forces you to be independent and responsible for your actions, it forces you to distrust government and fight evil, it forces you to better yourself. I think Christianity is the best thing to happen to the world.
turning the other cheek was supposed to be an insult.
Catholics worship humans as part of their dogma, so not really Cristian IMO
rich people generally don't become rich by being a super nice guy probably a warning against being greedy and shit.
he who thinks he is a wise man surely is a fool. The only thing I know is that I don't know much.
communism has always looked good on paper, they probably hadn't had a chance to try it out yet.
you got me on that last part. Maybe because we have innate knowledge of good and evil it's better to assume you've got room to improve rather than think you're a hot shit.
As far as I know Christianity was a driving factor in the progress of the west. That whole protestant work ethic and escaping religious persecution by way of America..

Yeah, you obviously don't know what "context" means. Because out of it, have these verses been taken.
