this may not be the place to ask this, but...i feel like i'm alone and on crazy pills when i bring up this with anybody. i've never done drugs before or anything in that nature, yet i can't explain what i saw in the air ten years ago.
driving down a road late at night in texas, i look up high in the sky and see what i initially thought was a satellite or plane. it starts slowing down, cuts to the left, and then cuts back in an instant and changes it's trajectory and darts across the horizon in an instant. i've never seen anything move that fast before and have always just lumped it into a UFO story.
anybody else ever seen or witnessed something resembling a UFO?

When I was studying for my degree [many years ago now] I was walking home after lectures and then a couple of pints. I got to a point on my journey where the road falls away quite steeply and is quite straight for nearly a mile. Standing at the top of where the fall begins I could see that there was a bank of cloud approaching from beyond the horizon, while overhead the sky was, for the most part, clear of cloud. There were numerous bright flashes from above the cloud, but there was no sound. The flashes lit up the sky like daylight [this happened late at night] and silhouetted the cloud that hid the source of the flashes. This continued quite a while: I waited to see what was causing it, but I never found out.
It was not:
An aeroplane/planes/helicopter/other aircraft
A storm
I do not believe it was an explosion/explosions.
