Fair point. Fucking spam has to ruin everything. If there was just some alternate means of spam control this could be avoided.

Moderators. Moderators should only be allowed to remove spam. We have a report spam function. All subverses should have a clear expectation of content, and there should be an interior system that can be used to transfer threads that are unsuitable from one verse to another.
Every message that is deleted should be saved and kept in a mod log where we can see the post in its entirety, who deleted it, and for what reason. Any mod that deletes a submission or comment that isn't spam should have their account deleted.
