And even a portion of the new users aren't there because of the Fattening but because of the crackdown on free speech and the ideology behind that.

They want a safe haven without all the drama.

Precisely! Not to mention voat's focus on a positive atmosphere. Free speech and fresh air.

I've asked some really stupid questions and haven't been made fun of once yet.

It's so weird!

It is positive. I can't remember the last time I disagreed with someone on Reddit and they didn't go into full 'dick mode'. Had a disagreement on VOAT and explored the disagreement as adults and ultimately agreed to disagree. No 'dick mode' involved. Very positive.

I left because of the subreddits that they kept around, many of which I had rationalised before due to reddit not removing any without legal reason to do so. Then I found out about the really bad ones and left. Luckily a lot of people had mentioned voat and I love it here.

I don't understand your logic. So just because there are some horrible subreddits you left? How about just not visiting those subreddits?

Or did you left because as @TheInternetHivemind said, they deleted 5 subreddits, but not some of the horrible ones? Well, that's because they deleted those subreddits because they were harassing other people (at least that's the official story, I have reasons to assume that's true, but also some other reasons why it sounds like a fake excuse).

Assuming I understand you, I agree with your point. Before they could have said "oh well we don't like coontown but nothing we can do since it's legal", but not it is almost like they are condoning it since they won't remove it.

Sorry, but I found your comment a bit unclear.

Did you leave because reddit had really sick content, or did you leave because reddit removed a certain 5 subs but not that sick content?

Isn't the idea that you can unsubscribe from any sub?

I think the term "reddfugees" sums it up.

I've been here a week and while I wasn't subbed to FPH I was tired of the arbitrary censorship and the creeping power of the SJWs and feminists. I've been pretty tired of reddit for about a year now and at first I tried to retreat into the smaller subs with communities I liked to stay away from all the bullshit but its gotten out of hand and the banning of FPH for brigading and harassment while SRS, SRD, againstmensrights, and several other SJW subs get to brigade, harass, doxx, and so forth with impunity. It was the same gripe I had when PCMR got banned originally for brigading. Its 100% arbitrary and basically as long as you are in the little circle of SJW/feminist subs you get to do as you please with no regard for the rules.

I finally deleted my reddit accounts and jumped ship to come over here a week ago and it has been absolutely amazing so far. I hope reddit doesn't die entirely so that the SJWs can have their little playground and leave this amazing site and its wonderful communities alone.

Death to censorship
