iirc at least one person has died from getting caught in escalator mechanisms, strangled by a scarf or something.
According to snopes (if you put any trust in them - though something like this is relatively politically neutral so it might be ok) some children have suffered foot injuries due to laces getting caught http://www.snopes.com/horrors/parental/escalator.asp Probably worth checking up on any sources they've cited, or do some research of your own to confirm it if it is a legitimate fear. Best to be informed about the facts.
I have considered getting like semi-porous metal screens surgically embedded in my ears to stop that from ever being a possibility... Yeah the thought bothers me a bit, I think if anything like that did happen I would have to completely shut down emotionally while its getting taken care of O.o
I'd say your justified in that, though. People die every hour from driving and a lot of times it's because they get too comfortable.
I drive for work and it helps to have a healthy bit of fear.
Deep horror environment games. I'm not talking about cheap scare games, I'm talking about games like Metro 2033 and Amnesia, Doom and such, where the whole environment scares the shoot out of you. I know they are just games, and I shouldn't be scared, but like hell I'm playing that at night with my headphones.

Those little teeth at the end of escalators that release the trollies on them.
I was always petrified of getting my shoe laces getting stuck in them. Even to this day I jump over them a little.

Ear holes and how they invite insects to crawl inside of them.

But then what about the teeny tiny insects that get caught in the wax, and build up on the inside of the screen? o_o

I'm about the same. I'll go out of my way and spend extra time just to use public transport instead of drive.

The second thing that scare the hell ou of me is a fly... I literally fall on the floor and stop moving until it goes away...
The first thing that scare me is a spider... I can't... Seeing one even on picture make me go crazy
