Yes. First question. Do you serve pizza?

Those are great questions, it appears there is enough of an interest on this topic to do it, so when I have my next day off and do the AMA, I will address this in my initial post ^_^

As a (now former!) restaurant manager, I am interested to see what kind of things you have to say.

Right back at you... I'm interested to hear your thoughts. What made you leave the industry?

A very terrible and lazy boss. As far as I'm concerned, you cannot hold high standards for people if you don't hold them as high for yourself. I loved my job, but working under someone who expected the world out of me and didn't give the same in return was detrimental. If the higher up cannot work as hard as the people below them, they have absolutely no place being in charge.

Just do one and you'll see if there is interest or not.

My thoughts exactly.

How do you feel about replacing all of your minimum wage workers with kiosks?
[–] CantBuySkills [S] 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
Lol... it's not McDonalds.

I'm a chef at Wendy's, I can't be replaced.

why dont you just do it and see if it works out?
[–] CantBuySkills [S] 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
Because I'm a CTR shill trying to get up goats :-P
Honesty though, I don't want to start an AMA and have 4 people ask me questions and then wait around for more questions on my one day off a month.

you should do something better on a day off than sit in from of a computer waiting for people to ask you questions imho

Do you own Amy's Baking Company? If so yes.

No, sorry.

Please address why in the US you have to leave a tip and yet in other countries the staff and restaurant can get by on minimum wage salaries, better service and still can make money.
Nite: after having great service for 20 years outside of the US, I find it difficult to pay extra in the form of a tip for cold food, cranky staff who gives a fuck, and have to wait for the server to decide to take my order. This isn't very where and not everybody but I go less to those places that require a tip than I did before leaving the US.

I get that is how the US wants you to think.
Where I lived in Japan, most meals would still come out cheaper and most places had just as many servers or more. Tokyo was slightly higher but so is rent. Soft drinks are expensive in Japan, especially coke-a-cola for the restaurants.
Japan is very comparable in food and rent. Minimum wage was around $8,50 and up for a server. Considering there pay is hourly, I'd get at least 3-5x better service than here where I tip 15-20%.
The only thing the US does excel at is complaints and refills. Fuck you can even get French fries herd as a refill!!

I will make sure to address this in my initial post when I do it. It's a good question.
