It's not.

It is over saturated with it right now. But that is because it is the only place the right can have an uncensored view.

It will go back to the regularly scheduled programming in a couple weeks.
There will always be a good amount of politics. But more balanced.

Voat's main focus has always been politics out of necessity - from censorship of reddit and the low visibility/temporary format of /pol/. Voat is the bastard child of the two, born from miscegenation.

I disagree. Voat has always been political. But it was not the main focus when I first got here.

First I was deplorable, now I'm a bastard.

Sweet. I can run with that.

This. Censorship is a fundamentally political issue. Since censorship is driving the growth of Voat, politics is inherently inescapable.

That depends on who is declared the winner of the election. If Hilliary is declared the winner, Voat might become a bastion for the resistance.

Yup. Voat's a good place to discuss politics. I've been following the Donald Trump sub on reddit, and because of that, I highly suspect, moderators have been banning me from "their" communities. Places not even related to politics. And, you know what? I followed all the rules. Why would I get banned? Because I am subbed to /r/the_donald, and I upvote a lot of their posts. Those scummy mods spy on you, and do automatic bans. 90% of them must be neckbeards.
