Yeah....The sun's positive effects on the Earth would be noticed immediately. There is no situation that the disappearance of the sun is a good thing. Like you said though, the core of the Earth is very, very hot. So humanity's best bet is to get underground as soon as possible and set up an underground civilization. This new civilization would have to last for millions of years in their new home as well. Since the sun disappeared, the Earth has become a space ship that's traveling in whichever direction it was going prior to the sun's disappearance. Eventually, our new spaceship will come near enough to a star, it'll get snagged in the star's gravity and HOPEFULLY, the icy Earth will thaw out and humans will be able to survive.

Hmm, I didn't think of relocate to the underground closer to the earth core. I more thought to relocate everybody (or the smart people) to places as Iceland or New Zealand where there are volcanoes who can produce warmth for us.

Yeah, the thing is, the only reason the Earth isn't a block of ice is because of the Sun's heat and the little bit of heat that the core puts out. So in a situation with no sun, there would be a miles thick sheet of ice on the surface, but deep down near the core, it would still be warm enough to adequately support life.
