No. He's a great privacy advocate but that doesn't make him prepared to properly deal with the nuances of global politics, economics, and warfare.

I agree with you. But ehy not a young mayor or governor? Why Snowden specifically? His brand? Most of the country thinks he's a traitor. I'm sure we could find someone with more skills and is an honest guy. J.J Abrams?

I agree and respect your opinion. You are correct that doesn't make him qualified but surrounded by good people perhaps he could pull it off. I know it isn't realistic, but I would love to have a president one day that actually cares about his country and not what it can do for his bank account. The passion and desire to do what is right is what inspires me.

All I want is do die with the same rights I was born with.

He is absolutely a patriot and clearly cares deeply about our country. He'd be an interesting choice to have in the cabinet, maybe in intelligence or PR. Maybe after a few years of serving as a high-ranking public official he would be a good candidate for President. But for right now, he is just an exiled coder with a good conscious. Let's not lower the qualification bar to be President to being just a decent guy because of this election.

I'd take him in heartbeat over the 4 clowns running now.

Why not Tom Hanks then? He's a good guy. I'd much rather vote for a mayor or governor with at least 4 years of actual political experience. Not enough to make them subservient to the powers that be, but enough to have a little personal experience to base decisions off of.

I would, a man that honest that has sacrificed his own comforts is honorable i would love to see what he could do in the white house.

I don't think He would make a good President (doesn't strike me as an executive type), but I'd vote for him in protest. He has more integrity in his pinky than Trump and Clinton combined.

I understand what you mean. He doesn't have the background we expect of a presidential candidate so he may not be the best choice, however in comparison to the others he does seem to care about the country and is passionate about what he believes to be right and I admire him for taking a very difficult stand, I can't really say that about the other two.

We have some wonderful, competent, well educated, inspiring people in this country who would make great presidents but I think they understand the difficulties this job entails so are hesitant to throw their hat in the ring. It is a difficult and stressful job, one that I am certainly not qualified for.

Next time. He's too young this year. Plus it's too late to get on the ballot.

Ohh I didn't think about him not being 35 yet (hmm or is it 36).

I do think it would be eye opening.

Doesn't really matter. He'll be 37 next go-around.

Yes. From what little of his personal politics he's shared, he seems like a privacy minded moderate libertarian with a good grasp of global issues.

I think I would enjoy having a conversation or two with him, I imagine I would learn a lot. I do enjoy listen to people talk about what is important to them and what they are passionate about.

I would vote to fully pardon him. I wouldn't vote for him for President as I don't feel that would be fair to him. I feel him to be too ethical to function in the current corrupt system. All with an ax to grind would be thwarting him every step of the way simply because of who he is and what he did.

Edited to add: If he truly WANTED to be elected and was legally/Constitutionally able, then I would vote for him.

I also think about people who go into politics or other careers with the hope or plan to make the world a better place in their own way. It is so sad to see that slowly degraded as time and reality set in. Yes it would be a challenge and you are probably right that roadblocks would likely be put in his path constantly which would be difficult to make real progress. It really is sad to live in a world/country that can be so wonderful in many ways but have people who can be so corrupt and take advantage.
