It depends on what you mean by "the world."
Culturally, actual institutional racism/sexism (at least against minorities and women) haven't existed in 50 years. Feminism has only become popular in the last 10-20, maybe 30 years. We have been culturally degenerating rapidly for the past 20 years (depending on how you think about it, it's been happening for hundreds of years - but it's sped up recently.)
Economically, it may seem like we are doing better than any other memorable point, but as a whole we really aren't doing very well and the current state is very unstable and will crash very hard very soon. When it does we'll be worse off than during the Great Depression.
Politically we are more corrupt (or at least more publicly) than ever, and the majority does not know or does not care. The military industrial complex has existed since at least WW2 and is as strong as ever.
So both. The long con of Western genocide is finally beginning to culminate.
