EM Drive passed Peer review.
Update, not long after this post, article ceded to 'pressure' and edited headline, based on this definition of 'peer reviewed' in theory the 'science community' can never peer review the device and (I suppose) try to 'hold back humanity' for what, another 100+ years?
However the device reality still means...
I guess people are familiar with the old equations banging around as to 'are we alone' the Paradoxes etc.
Like the Fermi paradox
the basic tenant goes that if there is life everywhere why haven't we 'found' any of it etc.
this discovery basically and fundamentally changes all of that.
if a society of our 'primitive' nature can make this simple device now, then does this not mean that the options now become even more polarized?
you pretty much have to believe :
- 'God' built the Universe for humans and we are the only things existing in it and we are going to burn coal and do other things and now conquer the rest of the universe.
- Life is indeed everywhere, and the age of the universe means the 'life' is advanced enough to have organized itself into a sort of 'order' and there is a reason in that 'order' why we can't 'find' it, i.e it doesn't want us to, now, in this state.
the reason for the second option having a specific order is because otherwise every other day a new life form would be landing here so if you agree to the second option you have to assume there are 'rules' not to do that.
