A little search on Google told me that Alzheimer's was a type of dementia. I too, had no idea. I always assumed the two were different diseases altogether. From experience (my grandmother has a thyroid related dementia) they're are lucid moments in at least some dementia patients. Those are the worst. In those moments you not only have to handle the feelings you have watching it, but the realization of someone realizing they've forgotten everyone, and everything they loved.
