Eco freindy, cruelty free. Aren't these types of things really just "feels goods" for the consumer with little if any real impact in the grand scheme of things?

Well I can't really give a generalized answer, and I'm not sure what "real impact" means. You'd be surprised how many companies still use animal testing with cosmetics and chemicals, including cleaners (http://www.businessinsurance.org/8-products-you-own-that-are-tested-on-animals/). I am sure some marketers use those as terms to snag people in to buying their product, but these people seem to have a bit more integrity. Either way, stay skeptical :)
