Last game at my local field we were doing a capture-the-flag-ish game. It was mixed among other objectives. It's quite a large field, so you can have some fun sneak attacks. And if your team is better organized than the other team it's easy to get the upper hand.

So, during this game I and about 3 others decided to ignore the other objectives and just go for the flag. We took the long way so we wouldn't get caught in enemy fire. Once we got at the enemy base, we were surprised to find a heavy defence. They had one sniper in the back of their camp, and a few with rifles. We all had assault rifles, so the sniper was a big concern. After a back-and-forth of bb's it was time to take action.

One of our teammate went full-on kamikaze. We turned our rifles to auto and sprayed bb's all over the place. He threw his gun on the ground and raced towards the flag. Grabbed the flag, and ran back. In the process he lost some stuff such as his helmet etc. When he was back with us it was a matter of escorting him back to our base. My hero of that day.

Today there was a new game mode yet again. Juggernaut, bitches!

Two teams pitted against each other. Each player gets three respawns and after those they're out for good. To spice things up, one really brave guy decided to be the juggernaut.

This guy was armed to the teeth. Machine gun, shotgun, pistols and armor. The only way for him to take a hit, was to hit a red metal sheet on his chest. After that he froze and started counting to ten. If you managed to run and touch him, he would become a member of your team.

It was really scary trying to avoid his shots when he was stomping towards you. I just dove into the bushes and the monster just kept on stomping towards me firing full auto. A lucky bb hit his breastplate and I managed to tag him. The relief (apart from the content of my bowels) I felt when I tagged him to my side was nothing short of spectacular. Then a teammate respawned and shot me in the temple with his AK-71. The End.

Edit: Picture of the juggernaut

We were playing a game in the evening between nine and midnight. There were two teams with smaller groups inside them. The game organizers were the leaders of the camps and communicated with each other with radios.

The objective was to collect three clues from the field. Each clue would reveal the location of a piece for the bomb. After getting all three parts, a five minute timer would start. The bomb could still be defused at this point, causing the defusing team to win. Respawning took a minimum of 15 minutes and after respawning you would have to walk back to your camp to get new orders. You were not allowed to directly attack the place you got hit since you were a new guy, fresh out of bootcamp.

Our team had managed to take two parts for the bomb. We only needed the third one. I was attached to a small three man group to carry out the mission of raiding the enemy camp. We flanked through the woods on the edge of the playing field and managed to get near their camp. Then some unfortunately situation happened and we got the command to halt playing. Due to safety reasons, ALL players must repeat this and stay in their positions. It was not a big surprise that the enemy noticed us sneaking fifty meters from their camp since we had to yell. Firefight broke out, our small three man party got wiped out.

Then the enemy started their timer. I was really confused. We were supposed to have almost all the parts. How could they turn the tide like this? The answer was lying in our camp in ghillie suits. The enemy had sent their two man sniper patrol at the start of the game. They kept almost total radio silence for the duration of the three hour game and didn't engage anyone. They crawled through a grassy field and some woodland area for approximately 450-500 meters. When our team leader sent us away from the camp to get the last part, they dropped our glorious leader in one shot and fought off small party of people who noticed.

In the offgame area I told him that we're going to set up walking patrols around the camp next time to stop them from doing this again. "Patrols eh? I better bring my mine next time".

That's a lot of effort, but indeed a brilliant action. These kind of 'covert ops' actions always make the greatest stories.

The effort really paid off. They turned the tide of the whole battle with that trick and the story is circulating around making those two into small legends now.

Good idea! This could perhaps be fun to have as a weekly repeating topic. would you agree?

That seems like fun. They used to have something like it on /r/airsoft, I don't know why they stopped.
