Interestingly enough, the science says mostly yes. This is proven in twin studies, socioeconomic studies, adoption studies, etc. The study that really got me was the one where adopted children who were taught to read were more like their birth parents in literate ability than their adopted parents. Every paper in every scientific journal keeps seeing the same results and it makes sense. What else would it be? It's a scientific reality we have to face.
