In Evelyn Waugh's Sword of Honor trilogy, (and he was connected to the highest British society, including being close friends with Tommy Blackhouse head of the commandos and founder of the SAS, to the point where Tommy got Evelyn into the SAS at the end of the war) the Dieppe raid was tossed to Lord Louis Mountbatten who was absolutely rabid to have a "show". You know an operation to command. The only problem was that all the operations he'd been dreaming up involved everyone getting massacred. Finally someone in Whitehall got sick of him pestering them so they tossed him some Canadians and let him send them on a hopeless suicide mission to no purpose on Dieppe. In the novel Evelyn gives him the name Lord Brides-in-the-Bath because he's a bloodthirsty slaughter hound.

well, elections don't have consequences. democracy is a very easily predetermined effect. wars have consequences. if you destroy a pan-european ideology then you destroy europe. the only blood which is innocent is that which fought on the side of the third reich, italy, and japan. all those burning cities were a small prize compared to the ruin and degeneracy of the "victors" had sown. you cannot be a white man or woman of the west and not be suicidal in light of what your ancestor's through loss, or fear, or active struggle caused
