What is a “Walk”?
A decentralized strategy for networking with local anons anonymously IRL.
Why Walk?
Walking allows normally isolated anons to meet with little risk, make friends, and to organize locally.
How does it work?
Step 1: On the specified date, wear a plain white shirt and any style of hat. Wearing these clothes on this specific day serves to identify you at a glance to other participating anons while also providing absolute plausible deniability if needed.
Step 2: Go to the local place that best corresponds to the OP’s suggestion. Locations might include:
Most popular park
The sidewalk outside Town Hall
Downtown’s fanciest tavern
This improves the odds of anons meeting without naming any specific location, making a honeypot or ambush virtually impossible.
Step 3: If you see another person wearing a white shirt and hat, say hello and drop some hints about /pol/ culture. If they don’t understand, assume they’re not an anon. If they do, congratulations! You probably just met a friendly anon.
That’s it! Feel free to exchange contact information, meet up for coffee later, go find more anons, whatever. It’s up to you how to interact with your newfound compatriots.

Walk General for April 2019
April has the weather improving a bit, so lets take a stroll down to a park closest to your local City Hall to enjoy it a bit.
Location: The nicest outdoor park or location nearest your City Hall.
Saturdays: April 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th
Dub Days: Thurday April 11th, Monday April 22nd
Times: 1:11pm – 4:44pm
Hints:
Some City Halls have plazas or open areas with seating and park-like qualities as part of their property, so that might count as the closest “park”.
If your region is a little cold, just keep your jacket open to show off your white shirt. Or just wear a white coat.
Try to pick a location where you can see well around you and others might be able to see you rather than hiding in the bushes somewhere.
Bring something to entertain yourself with and walk around a bit while you enjoy the springtime weather.

Whatever your time zone is. There is no need to standardize.

Just hasn't been a location mentioned yet. It will at some point I imagine since it's a good place to do things while looking around for anons.

Then make the determination yourself. The ambiguity is useful to decentralize the actual actions.

Thanks for the encouragement, and excellent post. Anons are far from alone with these ideas, even among the general public. Those ideas just need to be articulated well.

If I could I would have archived the previous thread before starting this one, but I do not have moderator powers. Just in case any shills continue to accuse me of spamming.

Opsec. That's the short answer. The longer answer is that it is a simplified trade-off between perfect anon security, which is never meeting up in real life or joining things found on this site, and becoming particularly vulnerable to honeypots, spying, and other forms that come from centralized public planning. Naming specific places on this kind of public board will greatly increase the odds you'll meet someone, but who that "someone" is becomes likewise increasingly uncertain. The older Walk threads worked with that specific locations meetup idea, and I disagreed with it because it seemed too risky. My formulation sacrifices some of the odds of meeting up in favor of better opsec for everyone who participates. It might not be the best formulation, but it certainly is the most secure way to meet an anon for both parties.
As for specific places, there may be ways to do that. One method would be to put up Walk posters with a particular locale area mentioned on them. Normal people won't know what that is and will not even notice them, while anons will know what it means and know someone has set up a Walk there. So long as that process was kept entirely offline it might be useful signalling. Or simply spreading Walk posters without locations on them will signal to any anons that there are other anons actively going on a Walk near them, and that might get some to commit to it.
It would need discussion, and maybe that will come about. But I err on the side of caution personally.

I don't need security, braw. For me this is a book club. I'm meeting a friend to go mall walking. We're meeting in a neutral place because parking is so bad downtown and one of us is a student. No one wants to be seen putting on their wrist and ankle weights when we're already at the mall doing stretches.

Walk anon, could you choose a better location next month? I liked the library, but I do not like wandering around for hours.
Also, I think that the OP should be rearranged so that "Walk General for April 2019" and the following crucial information is at the top of the post. Perhaps format it to stand out too.

That was the plan. I could use suggestions on what kinds of locations might be best though.
I'll probably make it a format like "Walk General May 2019: Something Edition", and move the location information up since two months should have most anons aware of what it is already.
