I've gotten myself in the best shape I've ever been in. Quit eating fast food and soda, dropped 20 pounds (195 to 175) in a few months, then started lifting. Struggled with progression because eating at a surplus was mostly making me fat again and my joints were getting fucked up by the lifts. Got a few different trainers to check my form and they couldn't find any real problems so idk why I was getting hurt

That sucks about your joints. Hopefully you can figure out a prehab/bodybuilding type routine to get some blood to that and grease the grooves, so to speak. If you aren't taking vitamin D do that, it's the most important supplement and helps with mood, although it won't be a panacea. You won't get much of a mood boost out of lifting until you start putting up real numbers, unfortunately. Since you need to have a good amount of musculature and low bodyfat in order to get the benefits of extra free testosterone. You may also want to pick up some kind of instrument as a means of expressing your soul. Hopefully you can also keep the perspective that life comes in peaks and valleys. You'll make it through it, anon, we all go through rough patches I think. And they end up being relative in the end. Taking the "red pill" is by definition an alienating experience, unfortunately.

Don't forget, health and fitness are now Neo-Nazi dogwhistles. Literally just existing is a Neo-Nazi dog whistle.

I did a few months of nofap once but it just ended with me relapsing to nudes I obtained in desperation from sluts on Omegle and Tinder

Yeah, I'm always pretty disappointed when I think about the role of fitness. I try quite hard to be a better and more physical man, but my body just can't keep up with it. Lifting fucks up my knees, elbows, neck, and lower back, and I only gain fat when I try to put on muscle. Running gives me psychological benefits that I don't get from lifting and helps me cut fat away, but my ankles and shins get fucked by it and studies find that it lowers testosterone

I own a harmonica and I've always wanted to be good at it, but like the years of piano lessons in my youth, I have failed to develop even basic proficiency with the instrument. I've tried online lessons and the like, but to no avail. It's very disheartening to be someone that so frequently perplexes teachers, tutors, and trainers by my inability to improve at really anything despite regular practice and refusing to give up easily
