Your average code jockey that doesn't do systems or specialized development doesn't need ASM because they have to have options when they they get laid of from their job and have to find some other portability obsess LBGT multicultural fest position to torture themselves with.

The guys that do systems and actual hardware development all need ASM. If you ever want to move up in life, you learn for the future, not live for today. If you ever want to actually create something instead of slaving for some other asshole, you learn how to actually create.

The alternative is to sit around making shit jokes about shitty cultural references and play fag games for the rest of your life while you slowly degrade into a fat pile of shit on your way to prison like you seem interested in doing.

asm is for people who are slaves to what will in short order be antique architecture.

You're an idiot. ASM doesn't have a specific architecture. It's literally just the machine code. It's what every OS developer, microcode developer, systems engineer, and hardware designer needs to know. They all learn ASM.

If you want to get involved with the soon to be blooming industry of hardware development in the US, you need to know ASM. You need to know what registers are, how they work and how to properly manipulate and handle them.
