They had a small "device" that you were supposed to put your hands flat around like you were going to carry it, but without touching it, you were supposed to feel something on your palms. I tried it, guarding my soul the whole time, and felt a hot sensation. My friend who tried it, also felt something but he felt a tingle instead. It was just a box, half the size of a typical shoe box, and involved a lot of wax, alluminum foil, and some other metals they wouldn't mention, but said a "shaman" picked them…

Fucking hell, that's radioactive material. LITERALLY GLOW-IN-THE-DARK.

It's not easy to get those kinds of radionuclides either, so their "shaman" is a fucking glownigger.

Could be a strong alpha emitter on the outer surface of the box, but is probably a beta emitter inside the box. The wax and aluminum foil would be perfect for confining beta particle emissions to certain directions and beta particles are simply electrons. "Hot" and "tingle" are both likely perceptions of either type of radiation incident on the palms.

A nice trick, since most people are utterly ignorant of nuclear radiation.

Why would (((shills))) be so triggered by identifying the nuclear-powered trick a cult is using? Could it be a (((cult)))?

What would be their reason to expose you to radiation (and potentially expose themselves as well since you'd need to be really careful with handling it)? If they wanted to give you cancer, they had countless other means to do it.
