It's not even just that. all of our problems stem form a handful of issues:

1) massive unemployment and loss of industry

2) breakup of the family unit and erosion of community ties.

3)a steady slide into ever deepening degeneracy such as drug use and hedonism, brought about by a sense of isolation and lack of connection cause by the previous two.

nowhere is this more felt than in small towns, where drug use and unemployment are rampant.

you get control of a small town, literally any small town, and you run out the drug addics and dealers, revitalize industry, insist that companies and businesses hire ONLY townspeople, no commuters from the nearest city or town 40 min away, and start organizing community events so people can actually start to get to know each other again, and you'll be amazed at just how quickly everything turns around.

this requires a lot of stuff, first it needs us to absolutely control all local government, or at least the positions that matter like mayor and councilmen, that lets us choose police commissioner, or chief, I forget which. that lets us be able to overlook certain concerned citizens who may want to persuade the various unsanctioned entrepreneurs to vacate.

once the town economy is revitalized it becomes easy to just start bringing in our own guys because all the ground work is laid and we can actually afford to put people up and give them jobs so they can get their feet under them, and the cycle continues.
