I've read thousands of pages of history. I have forgot much more than has stuck but the general sense is that there is a cyclical nature in history. The typical cycle is 300 years and we are ending the current cycle. I am not trying to pinpoint a date for an inflection but it's certain things will change dramatically. It's likely that a public wave will develop in that the general good will out way private interests. This isn't to say this will be Communist – far from it. Communism is really a private way phenomena. As far as revolutions… revolutions almost never produce a positive outcome.

Fuck the election anon. Why rely on it?
The system needs urgent restructuring and I think the only way to do that is revolution. Knock the sandcastle down and start again.
France has revolted several times in the last 200 years, why the fuck has nobody else anywhere on the planet done the same?

true
but its this era that created napoleon and led to the last great era of french dominance over the world.
sometimes things have to get worse before they get better. and sometimes its that "worse" that produces the humans capable of making things "better"

this
its obviously time
the EU has always been the jumping off point in my mind. it was tried in brexit, but it seems frexit will be the deathblow
the difference is why one has failed and the other might succeed.
brexit was done politically, through the usual channels. it has been thoroughly beauracracy'D and blocked.
this french one is being done violently
its super effective

revolution is the social equivalent of the birth and death cycle of life, it cannot be avoided forever.
