The N95 masks don't block viruses. They aren't designed for that. The reason a shortage is bad is because there are legitimate reasons to use those masks. What about the other masks? I don't know

It's to stop aerosol droplets, numbnuts.

The virus gets airborne via floating droplets, not via it's own little rocket engines. The masks stop the moisture the virus rides.

Yes, there are Spore theories floating around. But nothing solid yet. You can be sure of coughs spraying that shit into the air though. Mask up for the latter. If the former happens, then we're likely dead because fungus gets everywhere and is near unkillable.

Spore transmission theory is bullshit (as CDC anon said) but this virus does act similarly in the sense that it can act like a normal virus (and infect cells) but can also infect other bacteria (like a phage or spore).

Very nasty stuff.

And we know those masks don’t work because of the reliable social engineering—uh, I mean—news we’re getting?

Knowing what "N95" means would tell you they don't work for that. They're for particulate matter, like glass, wood dust, smoke/ash, etc.

I know what I know because I sell these masks and I had to learn about them years ago.
