Well, today I did a kettlebell routine that I found on a site called fitness BLENDER. It took me 36 minutes from start to finish, not counting cool down. This routine consists of two sets of each exercise with 10 reps of each exercise on each side, one side at a time, except for the figure-eight curls, which is two sets of twenty. That is 320 reps in all.
I warmed up doing two Turkish Get-Ups on each side with a 40 lb kettlebell. Then I got started.
Single Arm Swing 50lb
Jerk Press. 50lb
Jackknife Pull-Over 30lb
Single Arm Floor Press 50lb
One Arm Row 50lb
Acid Drop and Tricep Extension 25lb
Figure-Eight Curls 50lb
Clean and Press Combo 50lb
There is a short active rest period between sets. I haven't increased weight on any of these for a long time, but I haven't had to decrease any either. This is a very hard routine for me, but I guess it should be since I am 66 years old. I alternate between this and a "fat burner" routine that I made up. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
