I like the idea of this sub. Especially after making a conscious decision to improve my fitness recently. I have never been out of shape per se, but improvements can always be made.

Not having a set routine makes me wonder if I would fit in here? Your posts are very detailed.

I do have the 40+ thing going though.

Until today I didn't have a routine. And I only have that because I have a PT.

I have no idea what I am doing. Just getting into he gym as often as possible and a loose plan of what workouts to try on top of the PT beastings.

I'm not even 40+ yet. Next year is my 40th but I needed to get into shape asap.

That's awesome. I'm only 41 myself, and yeah I refuse to get old. I just lost motivation for awhile. My weights are collecting dust in the spare room at the moment.

I needed something fun to get me going again so I bought myself a fat bike. I have really enjoyed the freedom of riding while pushing myself to the limit.

do whatever works for you. Take my advice. Use it or lose it. If youre over 40 you literally have to physically train now while you can. If all you do is walk post it. Get a pair of 1 lb weights and work them while you walk. It can be as simple as that or I could help you start a good push/pull/leg routine. The thing that middle aged people lose first is leg strength and aerobic fitness. If you do that and some body weight exercises you'll be doing yourself a favor. Glad to have you on board. If you do it enough and make it routine you'll find yourself craving exercise.

I get what you mean about leg strength. I can walk for miles, but having recently taken up riding again. Has been an eye opener. I'm working a little harder because of the huge wheels, but have been averaging around 3 miles a day since I got it. It's slowly getting easier.
