Don't waste your time with jump squats. Your knees aren't 20 anymore; an injury would set you back months

Yeah I'm dubious about my ability to control the bar at the moment. No pec control.

What are the common injuries with this? Knee, hamstring and shoulder at a guess.

The most common injury is the torn patella tendon but its cause by poor ankle flexion most likely. That's a TOUGH one to beat; i've been working on ankle flexion for 10 years now.

I do my mobility and stretching every morning and do a perfect slow motion body weight squat with the feet, ankles, knees, and hips all firing in the proper sequence.

don't do jumping anything unless its unweighted onto a step. Im a nurse. Your knee is not made for that.
