So I took 5 weeks off. In that time I moved. Changed jobs. And changed gyms. I thought I was gonna have a week off but of course the new gym where I moved opened late. Anyway. The gym I used to attend had only Smith machines. My new gym has free weights and nautilus machines. After a pretty serious layoff and not really using freeweights other than a little dumbell work for years Im starting over slow.
Barbell Flat Bench
135 lbs, 10, 10, 10, 15, 12, 12, 9, 7 reps. 85 total in about 40 minutes
curl. Nautilus machine. 2, 35 lb plates 10, 8, 5 reps.
This machine has a preachers bench built in and totally isolates the bicep. I was doing curls over the weekend with 20 and 30 lb dumbells. This was much harder.
