I like to think that he lived so he can be beaten to death a second time.

[–] MyNameIsMud 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

Maybe even a 3rd and 4th time too, if he's lucky enough to live. What's worse, a violent death or a lifetime of violent near death beatings?

Lifetime of near death beatings

Child Killers are treated worse in the prison foodchain than chomos(child molesters)

I agree with you guys....let him heal up for a few weeks...then do it again.

Ah he lived. Unfortunate.

FYI i clicked the story about the Obama kid at the bottom of the page and it locked up Chrome and a loud alarm with the old "This PC has been locked due to security reasons and a porn Virus, please call this number to remove it."

Had to close out my browser with task manager to get it away. And yes I have adblock but it didnt stop it.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Ad block is more about convenience than safety. What you need is No-Script or equivalent that stops all scripts on all websites and you manually approve the scripts you need.

That's a great recommendation. Thanks.

Ransomware.

If windows, scan immediately with everything you've got. That shit is super nasty and can eventually lock down your system pretty hard.

  • Make sure you do NOT have a autorun option on the right click of your HDDs.

  • Make sure you have nothing starting up with windows via regedit or msconfig.

  • Clear temp folders and clear your cache.

E:

If malware/anti-virus fails to scan or errors out in any way, it may already have a foothold. I've had success removing that foothold via safemode with hijackthis (sometimes in combination with combofix). Depending on variant, lots of registry changes and files (sometimes requiring a tool like unlocker to delete though hijackthis can delete on reboot often). Personally, I nuke at first sign.

Some people will click on anything! I feel like you're criticizing my questionable link sources. Clearly you don't know the fun of irritating the gatekeepers with that place. Of course, it bit me in the ass with the post previous to this one. Will I never learn to check those sources?

[–] freshmeat 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

No no, i appreciated the article it was good. You are one of the best posters on Voat. I was just pointing it out, had to do a bunch of cleaning after that :)

I'm the idiot who doesnt have safety measure and just use a virgin Chrome.
