Wow. I just checked with my phone and it's true. Poor guy at Comcast is gonna get an earful when I pay my bill later today. And then most likely cancel cuz it's not like he can do shit about it.

Can you please confirm that you can reach http://blog.archive.org and not http://archive.org ?

Edit: According to a few sources here and elsewhere, http://207.241.224.21/ is reachable, which is on the same class C block as archive.org. So this does indeed seem to be an IP-specific ban.

Edit 2: https://mailman.nanog.org/pipermail/nanog/2017-June/091273.html - tl;dr error in load balancer may have triggered Comcast blackhole.

New Era of Internet has begun.

This really is web 3.0 The use of ai bots/propoganda/censorship to shape human interactions. The first 2 phases were about the web becoming more useful. Now the third phase is about us becoming more useful (as idiots) for those who believe they run the internet. Let's hope the forth phase is about dancing on their corporate graves.

I bet it's a routing problem or ISP down. Can someone here who's on Crapcast please run traceroute?

[–] arzekel 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Unfortunately stuck with Comcast in the Northeast. Traceroute is dying on the second hop past my modem, at 96.108.154.29 (NJ). Could be a routing problem... guess we'll see if it's fixed later today.

Nevermind. As pointed out elsewhere in the thread (via 4chan)... archive.org @ 207.241.224.2 and can reach 207.241.224.1 just fine. Seems like fuckery.

A private company screwing customers after lobbying to remove evil government regulations, enabling them to do so... is communistic?

[–] gazillions 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

The form of communism they're going after has multicorp at the top, making all the totalitarian rules. There's never a redistribution of wealth under communism, so there's no situation where labeling the practice of an ideology means you get that ideology. If zeroing in on tags to nit pick and argue whether it's communism or fascism or nazism or national socialism makes you happy, have at it.

This is literally the opposite of communism. In the theoretical libertarian utopia, Comcast would be free to block any internet resource that conflicts with the (((narrative))).

also in same utopia:

freedom from regulation and lobbyists, thus no monopoly.

These days it's damn near impossible to start an ISP. Yes, yes it is due to lobbying and shitty regulations paid for by large corporations.

Anyone have an email address to be able to write them? If we don't stop this shit right now, things are going to get real bad, real quick.

They have a monopoly in many cities, leaving means no internet or extremely shitty internet.

Comcast is jealous they haven't been getting much of the spotlight due to the cold civil war we're fighting. They would rather remain the bane of existence for majority of the US citizens.
