What Does Quantum Theory Actually Tell Us about Reality? Summary: We don't understand very much at all. submitted by Timmy2 to science

What is the simplest solution?

Most scientists don't know that one very simple solution exists. Instead they invoke reality breaking magic: multiple worlds and virtual particles.

Plank had proposed a Threshold theory which is the simplest solution that I have seen. Energy is distributed over all directions, in waves, just like light. At the detector end, the energy can reach a threshold at some point. And if it does, the detector gives off a signal. We think that a photon has been received.

Start:
5 4 3 2 1 5 6 9 2 0 2
Finish:
6 5 4 3 2 6 7 X 3 1 3
So with a threshold of 9, we find a "particle X" in the 8th position of the detector.

Sometimes we may detect 2 "particles" at the same time. And according to the experiments at http://www.thresholdmodel.com this is actually what happens. The experimenter is not a good talker, but just go through his experimental results.

This is the alternative solution for Einstein's photon model, and it works well for quantum mechanics in all tests that I have seen. The solution is so simple that I find it more of a miracle that it is not one of the leading interpretations of quantum physics.

Are You Being Gaslighted?

I think that the gaslighting-technique is commonly used on children who question certain authorities.

Yup- EMDrive still works. And it's putting out over 100x more thrust than a solar sail per Kw. submitted by Dortex1 to science

The force is so small that it can not lift a feather, so I assume it incapable of ever lifting a spacecraft.
I have no clue why anyone would consider this a valid "drive".

Due to the very low force output, compared to the very strong electromagnetic forces that are present in the setup, it is clearly some kind of a side effect.
It may be interesting to find out what the side effect is, but it is still a side effect.

With the strong waves and currents going on it seems there is shielding-resonation problem.
This can cause EM-shields to malfunction under certain frequencies and circumstances. This is also visible in the graphs, which seem to show a force growing in time under constant power, as if a resonating component slowly builds up.

This is a very difficult subject and not many scientists are familiar with it.
Somehow related are fractal antennas.

The build up is a clear indication of a buffer getting filled up.
So the buffer is the cause of the force, not the input.

I am sorry that you don't understand it. It is what I studied.
With a buffer I meant a system that stores energy, like a resonator circuit that is common in an antenna system. Like this from wikipedia:
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/10/Dipole_antenna_standing_waves_animation_461x217x150ms.gif

The EM-waves will first create surface currents, like those in this magnetic disk system.
See wikipedia:
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/50/Eddy_current_brake_diagram.svg/640px-Eddy_current_brake_diagram.svg.png

These currents can reach more depth, due to the resonating of the EM-waves in the device.

So after a while these currents will grow and your whole system (EM-drive) becomes an antenna.

Very normal EM-waves material, if you have learned it on the university.
