Evidence of REDDIT-style censorship currently on VOAT submitted by mHtt to Conspiracy

wmq 0 points 19 points (+19|-0) ago

You must differentiate between subverse mod censorship and site admin censorship. If someone created subverse I think it's ok for him to set up some internal rules and enforce them. It's different from Reddit-style removal of something because it doesn't please site owners/CEO.

New Zealand makes trolling a crime. Safe space theory backed by law. submitted by bobroland to news

What the heck. I thought New Zealand was one of the more liberal (socially and economically) countries. I could face prison for my Internet laughs if I lived in NZ.

Edit: I meant not the American definition of 'liberal', but rather the European one, classically liberal - very limited government and no (or very little) cultural conservatism or libertinism.

Should Voat have a report button? submitted by DanielTaylor to ideasforvoat

wmq 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

This button is only next to comments, there's no report button of any sort for posts.

Thumbnails from NSFW links should not be shown at all. submitted by utybo to ideasforvoat

I think it should be an option in settings - to have NSFW thumbnails visible or not.

Next one: not being able to preview image in voat.co because OP didn't link directly to the image.
