Hmmm.. so a tech at a DNA company admits that they imply users have African ancestry to "screw with racists." submitted by Empress to whatever

Shameful. These people have no ethics. I've taken a very hard-stance against these bullshit ancestry DNA tests based on privacy issues, but now I have more ammo for my box. So thanks for that.

I know I'm preaching to the choir here at Voat, but don't fucking take these tests. If you want to learn about your family history, research primary sources. I would be happy to show you how. I'm really good at it. These tests don't tell you shit. Don't let your biology become a commodity.

Edit: I'm working on a write-up on family history research basics. I'll post it soon. Patience, young goats.

Please write that letter to corporate. You may end up saving someone's job.

Thanks for the update too. IMHO, This is going to end up one of the Classic FPH anecdotes. I will never be able to unburn this from my brain. Never.

Um, so why does your headline call him a German, Dailymail?

Who's the coward who downvoated this & couldn't bother with a reply on why? Do numbers scare you?

Trump donates first quarter salary to National Park Service submitted by lordunderthemountain to politics

I don't know why you go downvoated. I appreciate reading this information. I wasn't aware before and I don't like it. Thanks for the enlightenment.

So, now that Trump won, does Voat feel rediculous about some of the conspiracy shit that ended up here the past couple months? submitted by Foralltoosee to whatever

wahala 1 points -1 points (+0|-1) ago

We were gaslighted so hard by the MSM and the left generally during this election, that I often found myself welcoming the 'alt-right' conspiracies. It was a sanity check in a way. A simple reminder that even though the left had the power of numbers, their nut-talk was just as nutty as the right. But maybe it's because I'm a libra and I like balance. That must be it.
