Inside Reddits Plan to Recover From Its Epic Meltdown submitted by allenlee to technology

ttyS0 0 points 12 points (+12|-0) ago

It’s because @allenlee somehow posted a permalink from the inside of a news aggregator app, which somehow breaks on both desktop and mobile for me.

Here’s the direct link: http://www.wired.com/2015/10/reddit-survived-meltdown-can-fix/

Works fine without JavaScript for me.

Open source licenses in comic form. submitted by go1dfish to technology

This grossly oversimplifies things, especially in regard to the LGPL.

NSA runs its spying activities on Red Hat Linux submitted by SeraCharm to technology

ttyS0 0 points 7 points (+7|-0) ago

The article says nothing about them not using SELinux, which they developed together with Red Hat (and who are the main developers now). Also RHEL runs with SELinux on by default:

Security-Enhanced Linux (SELinux) adds Mandatory Access Control (MAC) to the Linux kernel, and is enabled by default in Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Also, by default, SELinux targeted policy is used, and SELinux runs in enforcing mode.

You mean a default subverse which mostly consists of posts with no humoristic value?

Profiting Politicians? German journalist claims huge industry behind EU refugee crisis submitted by Ex-Redditor to videos

A person featured on RT who was published by Kopp Verlag is by all means not the most trustworthy source you can find.

fedux.org A "proxy.pac" is your friend if you're a proxy-administrator submitted by sam_story to webdev

ttyS0 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

For web development (and selective circumvention of censorship), you can also use a local PAC file using file:// URLs, for example on Windows:

file:///C:/path/to/proxy.pac
