Drinking responsibly and stopping long before you black out really is a great preventative measure against being taken advantage of. It's not about victim blaming, it's about taking care of yourself in a world full of shitty people.

I agree completely when it comes to things like manga and other art-related media. People being arrested for owning porn that's 100% drawn with no actual children involved is insane. Yeah, so it's icky to the rest of us, but people need an outlet like it or not. I'd rather it be imaginary kids and not real ones.

Original NYT article on Pao and the reddit revolt has been covertly replaced with pro-Pao piece entitled: Its Silicon Valley 2, Ellen Pao 0: Fighter of Sexism Is Out at Reddit submitted by KingLouisXIV to MeanwhileOnReddit

Whatever faith I had left in journalism has been utterly destroyed by all this BS. And honestly, feminists should be enraged. Pao is singlehandedly destroying their credibility by being labeled a hero and "Fighter of Sexism". All she's done is abuse the system and make it harder for legitimate victims to speak out.

Edit: grammar

Interesting. I saw Bill Nye at his show in Vancouver last December and he was still quite anti-GMO at the time. Guess I'll wait 'till next fall to pick up his revised book.
