I just got banned there for claiming that a moderator was COMPROMISED. I think my suspicion has been confirmed.

FALSE/SHILL SUBREDDIT CONFIRMED

CWM:

We sticky shit for all sorts of reasons. If we stickied nothing but primary info then we'd be less fun and comparatively few would care enough to look at our page and it'd be seen much less than it should be. We also sticky things to relay information, when there's several info posts on the front page, we're more likely to sticky things that attract more viewers to our sub. Lots of concern trolls out today saying we've had mods compromised into making people forget about stickies but the real answer is that mods talk long and hard with data unavailable to a lot of subscribers, about how to get the info out to as many people as possible and the answer turns out to be a counterintuitive one to many readers. We've got this.
