Student charged over false sexual assault accusation submitted by Chuck_Testa to news

Until colleges and universities are given an incentive to find the truth instead of to find more students guilty, the prevalence of false or unjustifiable accusations will likely only increase.

In my opinion colleges and universities should not be able to find someone guilty of some felony. Thats what the police and the DA is for. Colleges and Universities should educate and not pose as a second class executive and judicative conglomerate.

Well, actually it is easy. Its not your job. Simple as that.

Universities dont go to war, dont produce railways and so on. They educate. Armys go to war and railways producers produce railways. You wont say that the Army or the railway producers are "doing nothing" to stop sexual assaults among students.

When a student has been sexually assaulted or attacked in any other way, the student has to go to the police. Because its the polices job to look into it and maybe arrest someone. When the suspect has been found guilty the College/University can exmatriculate that person (he won't attend any classes anyway). Thats it. It is the judicatives job to find someone guilty and the judicative is the only one who can find someone guilty. No one else should be able to do this.

Today's Germans being shamed by media about WWII, and effectively embarrassed into accepting unlimited illegal immigrants and building them permanent New Free Houses in Germany. submitted by explorevoat to news

They settle in German towns, but for some reason don't really mingle with Germans except with teenaged German girls that they try to bed.

I think this is your first mistake. The most refugees come to Germany or the EU to survive, not to bed german teens. There is a difference between those refugees who seek asylum because their home country is simply poor and those who seek asylum because their home country is war zone. Where as war refugees have a legitimate reason to seek asylum, economic refugees do not. Because of that most refugees for example from Albania are denied asylum (actually 99% are denied).

All the while, the economy in Germany continues to decline.

May it be moraly and ethicaly right or not, many of the refugees are well educated and probably were among the richer in their country (otherwise they couldn't afford the travel). As someone else mentioned before Germany has only a small demographic growth. So, if Germany want to sustain a working economy, we have to rely on immigrants and take advantage of their knowledge.

I think it's crazy to put someone in jail for unpopular political beliefs.

For us germans its not just an unpopular political belief - our grandparents lived that belief somehow. Besides, that law is not against any unpopular beliefs, its against (e.g.) calling for violence against specific ethnic groups or denying/downplaying the holocaust (see the german criminal code on Google Translate .

The german federal police released a statistic today, that immigrants in Germany are more often the victim of a crime then the perpetraitor. Additionally many crime which involve immigrants as perpetraitor are minor criminal offenses.

But probably you dont care about that...
