I'm a white, upper-middle class, male, with no Native-American heritage = no scholarships based on socioeconomic disadvantage OR racial background.

Voat, what are somethings you're picky/snobbish about? submitted by Shower_Time to AskVoat

Cheese. I hate American and Velveta "cheeses" with a dying passion. The textures are awful, they are practically tasteless, way too fucking creamy. Why do people eat this shit?

Cars. In general, I don't like American cars. Dodge, Chrysler, Chevy, Jeep, Pontiac... all terrible. Ford is okay (haha, I've heard it. Ford = Failed On Race Day / Fix Or Repair Daily). American car's reliability isn't too great, the MPGs suck, the way the suspensions are design is pretty bad. They're just not good cars. I am skeptical of British cars as well - Jaguar, Land/Range Rover

E-cigarettes. Don't even bother offering me a drag of your ecig if its tank is one with those wicks dipping down into the tank (the really cheap ones). A decent build can be hand for $30, but you gotta choose the battery and tank yourself. I don't want inhale as hard as fuck just to smoke.

You need to have proof of residency.

Personally, I think that having 100 upvoated comments before I'm allowed to downvoat is absolutely ridiculous. If I don't like something I want to downvoat it, god dammit! Why do people have to like me before I am allowed to dislike other people? This isn't a fucking fraternity where I am a pledge until I am 'initiated' with 100 upvoated comments, dammit! I want downvoats right meow!

Because Voter Fraud hasn't swung any election ever. There have been fewer than a 100 people who voted when they shouldn't have. It's not showing a Photo ID like a driver's license, it's showing the photo ID they want you to have - a special card.

And the laws were written in such a way that women couldn't vote in the state of Texas because the license they needed to show had to have their maiden name on it if they were married, or show they are unmarried - both of these required extensive paperwork. And while they claimed the Photo IDs that allowed you to vote to be "free", they weren't - there are numerous cases of people still paying for them, despite the fact that they were supposed to be free. This, in essence, was a poll tax - the spirit of why Poll Taxes are illegal is because it shouldn't cost any money at all to vote. Poll taxes are unconstitutional, and thus charging money for the ID would be unconstitutional.

In my state at least, you have to register to vote before you can, which requires showing an ID at that level, as well as proof of residency in the county where you currently reside.
