Just tried discussing this in my graduate class and the other students didn't know why I'm so upset because a mass shooting just happened, I should be focusing on gun laws!! Good job media, the sheep ate the shit you gave them.

[Meta] Fatties downvoating? submitted by tacitus to fatpeoplehate

It's funny because they actually made an effort to get 100 CCP to be able to downvoat. If they spent that time exercising they might actual look human by now.

Doctor in Trouble for Calling Patient Obese submitted by Krog to fatpeoplehate

So people can't do their jobs because someone's feelings might get hurt? I'm actually speechless that her complaint was even justified by the board responding. Her complaint should have immediately been shot down as nonsense.

Israel calls Iran deal A mistake of historic proportion will "employ all diplomatic means to prevent confirmation of the agreement. submitted by JJEvil to news

It's really unclear as it what the West considers as terrorism. That Wikipedia article gives an example of an act of terrorism is funding Palestinian organizations that are fighting Israel against Israeli illegally occupied territories. If providing weapons to allies, such as the ally Iran had in Syria in the Assad regime is considered terrorism, then the US has done far worse in terms of terrorism by manipulating other countries elections for their own gains and providing weapons to militias in wars the US weren't fighting in. In 1953 the US and the UK overthrew Iran's Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh because he didn't want to sell so much oil to the US and UK and instead wanted to keep the reserves to give Iran economic growth. After that, the Shah got into power through the US and the Iranian people started to resent that. You can see Iran's hatred for the US as terrorism and the measures they take against it, but the only way to solve the tensions is to come to resolutions. By branding Iran as a terrorist country instead of understanding how Iran came to be the country it is today, you are ignoring the US's transgressions as a "terrorist country" as well.

My Persian friends who immigrated here have PhD dissertations in a week, so they don't have much time but after next week my friend Reza would be happy to answer any questions!
