U.S. Copyright Office considering exemption for abandoned online games submitted by ArsCortica to gaming

Those companies are such fucking garbage. They are afraid these old online games will compete with their new online games? So they arbitrarily make those games obsolete whenever they feel like it, games that people bought for full price and then paid monthly for, for years, to force people to buy the new iterations? That's bullshit. If that's their mindset people need to stop buying games from those companies. The only reason they can do that is because most gamers continue to show they can get away with it.

So as long as it's violence against people you don't like it's ok? K, got it, glad we've set the standard.

[Meta] A v/gaming janitor has banned a user due to their "attitude". @PuttItOut, as level 1 mod of this sub can you please weigh in on this? Also interested in the opinions of the v/gaming community. submitted by kevdude to gaming

Ok. I'm gonna throw my 2 cents in cause you wanted honest dialog kevdude. This isn't the first time this happened and it always revolves around the same group of users. My sympathy is wearing thin for those getting booted from subs and then bitching about it. It's the "Jew cries out in pain as he strikes you" mentality. I can see why kaydnce did it, because the user has garnered a reputation for doing stupid shit.

Now with all that being said, I still don't think he should've been banned. Mainly because as you said, it was one post a day, and hardly spamming.

We used to just pistol whip each other cause our parents wouldn't give us our allowance to buy ammo. Those were the days.

Dude, I'm not talking about the same thing as OP. If your gonna start REEEing all over the place then at least do it at at the people who you oppose. Jesus Christ. Ops idea could be implemented and I wouldn't care either way. I am specifically talking about deleted posts and comments. Bans were never in my equation. Op was talking about that, I was not. But if you want an opinion on it then yes, the censored side belongs to mods, the uncensored side belongs to no one. The mod will never have to deal with the banned user and the banned user can still post and be seen on uncensored. No side is getting fucked in that situation, and most people wouldn't care.
