That people who can't afford children, shouldn't have them. Why is it fair that someone else has to sacrifice to foot the bill?

It comes from the concept of canon law - the laws and regulations prescribed by an ecclesiastical (church) authority. The word derives from the Greek kanon meaning "any straight rod or bar; rule; standard of excellence".
The word cannon on the other hand derives from the Latin canna meaning a reed or tube. Both words likely come from the Assyrian qanu meaning tube or reed.

The only assumption you made that I would question is that he grew up.

They can't edit their title yet, unfortunately, so they couldn't take action even if they wanted to. Hitting it early allows them to repost quickly if they choose. The message is in thread for transparency.
Not justifying the rule, just explaining why it's being enforced the way it is.

Yes, I shitposted here. I called my own post out as a shitpost. There's a difference between taking the piss out of something and lying about it. I take the piss out of everything - if you look through my AskVoat comments you'll see shitposts there too. If you look through my IdeasForVoat posts, you'll see shitposts there too. In fact, you'll see shitposts everywhere because I don't have to be serious 100% of the time. Ask @kevdude - I constantly take the piss out of him, and at the same time I have deep discussions with him. It's just who I am. If you don't want to trust me, then don't. Observe the account and see what happens. Maybe I'm wrong - I'm not omniscient, I can't tell what the head mods will do with it in 6 month's time. All I can say is how I see it right now.

This really reeks of bullshit.
Dude, I'm here speaking publicly, so relax. From what any of us mods know, the goal of the account was a consistent public face for the sub. I.e. no matter who is posting, if it's an official message from the team, it goes through the one account. Mods come and go, rather than have users uncertain whether news etc. is official, it's easier to have one account through which it all flows. Again, to be clear, we can all still post our opinions, answer questions in sub or meta sub, etc., but the announcements/news comes through the face account. If you've worked in a corporate environment before, this really isn't that unusual - the CEO or their secretary doesn't send out a bulletin/newsletter as themselves, they use a dedicated account for it. When the block-user feature comes along, you'll all be able to block @she and still read our shitty news letter :-P
