Is it possible to change all the text on a subverse to that of say the Hyrule font from zelda? submitted by ItsThatCanadian to CustomizingVoat

Unless you have your own hosting to put the fonts on, this would be a bit of a pain unless the font happens to be on Google Fonts or a similar service.

The reason being that font embedding falls under some browsers "Cross-Domain" restrictions, meaning you can't load certain resources from one site onto another. However, if you have your own hosting, you can host the fonts there and set your server to explicitly allow cross-domain resource loading.

Another solution is downloading the font you want to use and heading over to Font Squirrel to utilize their webfont generator in "EXPERT" mode. You'll want to select the "Base64 Encode" CSS option which will convert the font file to a Base64 encoded string of text. You can then use the generated CSS in your subverse, but beware - the Base64 encoded string will be quite large and will take up a huge chunk of your allowed CSS character limit. I'd highly recommend minifying your code after it's completed if you go this route.

What's something every 18 year old should do? submitted by micros to AskVoat

Learn about your credit, research the pros and cons of having a credit card and how your credit score will impact your future financially. Once you've got a solid grasp and understanding, get a credit card, use it, pay it off, repeat. DO NOT MESS THIS UP, EVER!

Speaking as a 31 year old who is working hard to repair debts and my credit, it's frustrating, annoying, depressing and a huge hinderance on life if you're not filthy rich.

OH and don't let your bank account go negative and go to collections! ChexSystems is NOT something you want to hear you're a part of. You're on that list for (up to) 7 years and it can make it impossible or at the least very difficult to get a proper bank account during that time.

Bottom line: Pay your bills, on time - every time!

It can take a few minutes for everything to propagate across the (now multiple) voat servers. I made a post about it the exact same issue earlier, which is here: https://voat.co/v/voatdev/comments/219999

This is a video put together by my scuba instructor and friend using footage he took during a surface interval (hour long break) in between shark dives a couple weekends ago in Jupiter, FL.

Check out his other videos if you enjoy diving, sharks or whatever! https://www.youtube.com/user/FLDiver89/videos

Not necessarily. If you know what you're doing you can mitigate the chances of an accident happen, but of course, nothing is foolproof when dealing with nature. Shark attacks (should be called mistakes, really) are rare enough as it is. In fact, there have only been 218 confirmed shark attacks on scuba divers since 1820! He'd probably have to spend 20+ hours per day in the water for quite some time before an accident happened.

Now I'm not saying we're invincible or immune from anything happening - just that the risk factor is low enough and, in my opinion, the reward is absolutely worth it!
