Jury awards patient $500k after anesthesiologist mocked him submitted by ilovepussy to news

qx9 0 points 18 points (+18|-0) ago

The Washington Post ( reports the Fairfax County jury ordered 42-year-old Tiffany Ingham and her practice to pay the man after a three-day trial last week.

This is hilarious. This article is an Associated Press recap of a Washington Post article, reprinted in the Washington Post.

The original article (here) has a very important detail that this recap does not: the doctors wrote on his chart that he had hemorrhoids even though they knew he did not. Mocking him is bad, but giving a false diagnosis? Take away these fucking doctor's medical licenses.

WikiLeaks Is About to Ruin Hillary Clintons Chances of Becoming President--next leak will virtually guarantee an indictment submitted by rspix000 to politics

Wikileaks only has the emails she turned over to the state department. There are an additional ~30,000 "personal" emails that she deleted.

#SandersWarren2016 - A Progressive Dream Ticket? submitted by Anonthony to politics

She could have been president. I don't see why she would want to be VP but not POTUS.

The most fundamental flaw of capitalism submitted by thouliha to videos

qx9 1 points -1 points (+0|-1) ago

It's the same with communism. "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need" means that the productive members of society (farmers, factory workers, plumbers etc) will need to give up some of their paycheck to support the unproductive members of society (poets, bongo drum players etc). You're not going to get what your labor is worth unless you produce less than average.

And in socialist countries (communist precursor socalism), high ranking party officials get rich while the workers get very little.

NYTIMES: Clinton Campaign caught on tape accepting foreign donation submitted by TerriChris to news

qx9 1 points -1 points (+0|-1) ago

If the claims are true then it is moderately serious. The law clearly says that indirect contributions are not allowed and the lady who authorized it was the one person in the campaign whose job it was to make sure the law was followed. Not some random campaign worker.

But O'Keefe has been caught lying before though so who knows what really happened.
