Successful men/women of voat, as a teenager what can I do as of today that will help me succeed later in life? submitted by reddick to AskVoat

Be a skeptic about everything. I wouldn't say I'm wildly successful, but I got my second masters when I was 25, which feels like an accomplishment. Always look at two sides to everything ever, even attitudes that are deeply rooted. It should help you empathize as well as give you an understanding of counter arguments that will either strengthen your original viewpoint or it might change your mind entirely! Welcome to Voat!

Hello, I'm new and attempting to battle social anxiety with Voat! submitted by bixbie to introductions

Welcome! I've also turned a new leaf once starting up on Voat. My advice would be to start up a subverse in something you're interested in, that way talking to others about it will be a little less intimidating. I started up /v/americancraft for that reason. Best of luck!

I started off in a hurry to get 100 CCP. Now I feel like it's usually not worth downvoting somebody, and the cap should be even higher. submitted by deleted to introductions

I'm with you. I'm two votes away from my 20 to up voat, but after commenting and stuff to get this far it doesn't seem like downvoating is in my future. Ignore or upvoat

There are soooo many amazing craft products made by Americans that people just don't get to know about! Handmade bikes, knives, pans, camping gear, you name it! I'd like to provide people with an alternative to products made elsewhere, or at least show people what real handmade items looks like! I've been checking for American made alternatives for basically everything I ever bought going back 5 years. I have my ear to the ground and have so many ideas to post!
