You're just wrong. Milk is a milky liquid, it typically refers to animal milk because that's the most common use of the word. I suppose you will say that cream is only a product of milk and that there can't be any other "cream" as well. 500 years ago people would have used the term "milk" to describe plant secretions or pharmaceutical preparations that resemble milk.
Edit: Here are references to "milk" being used to describe non-animal milk from as early as 1430 and 1381. Again, if you honestly think people wouldn't just call a milky substance milk, you need to give your head a shake.
