I'm proud of my home country. We stopped letting the US military jets stop over and refuel in Ireland too a few years ago after they were caught transporting kidnapped "terrorists" to Guantanamo via Ireland.

It's pretty selfish to leave rubbish behind for sure, but it isn't as bad as I thought it would look after 23,000 people.

It makes sense that governments would try to control the internet, they've attempted it with every other medium of communication in the past. It's just saddening that a significant portion of the population have been manipulated into actually wanting censorship. Why anybody would sacrifice their liberties to prevent others from also having them is beyond me.

I like stoic but I thought his AMA on Reddit was a bit silly. That doesn't preclude him from modding here of course, he has expressed a preference for laissez-faire moderation which I like. Overall I would support adding him as mod.

Wait, the Poles are complaining about immigration? Hahaha in Ireland the Poles are the immigrants who cause trouble and live in insular communities so it's a bit hypocritical if you ask me.
